HI, I’m Stanislav — although most of my clients call me Stanly
I’m Ukrainian-born and have lived in Cancún since 2011, proudly calling Mexico home. As the owner and lead photographer of StanlyPhoto, I bring 14 years of wedding photography experience, genuine enthusiasm, and deep respect for the significance of every celebration I document.
I understand weddings not only as a photographer, but also as a husband who has experienced his own wedding day from the other side of the camera. I know the anticipation, the emotion, and how important it is to feel comfortable and supported. My role is to guide you calmly when needed, remain discreet when moments should unfold naturally, and give you the freedom to stay fully present.
What I enjoy most about my work is getting to know the people in front of my camera. I like hearing their stories, discovering what makes them laugh, and watching them become comfortable enough to be themselves. That connection helps me create photographs that feel personal and true to who they are.
Photography is my craft, but the people give it meaning. I love creating images that catch your eye at first and become more personal with time—as you notice a familiar expression, remember someone’s words, or return to a moment you thought you had forgotten.
At home, I’m happiest cooking for my wife and the people I love, with good music playing and Molly somewhere close by. The kitchen is my other creative playground. I love experimenting with flavors, discovering combinations I hadn’t thought of before, and turning a plate into a little canvas—with sauces as my paint. For me, half the joy is making it beautiful, the other half is watching someone enjoy that first bite.
Molly is our mini goldendoodle and our own little ALF—funny, curious, slightly mischievous, and completely convinced that she’s the center of our world. She’s probably right.
Life with my family reminds me how much the little things matter: laughter around the dinner table, the warmth of home, and simply being together. That same appreciation shapes the way I photograph every wedding—always attentive to the people you love and the small, meaningful gestures that reveal the heart of your story.
WHEN I’M NOT BEHIND THE CAMERA
My wife and I met in 2006 while studying tourism at university, and this year marks 20 years of sharing life, adventures, and countless memories together. Mexico is our home—the place where we’ve built our life together and where my work and heart belong. When it’s time for a vacation, we love exploring the world, discovering new cultures, and returning home with stories that stay with us for a lifetime.
My camera always comes with me. Photographing the places we visit lets me slow down, follow my curiosity, and notice the little things. I return home to Cancún with fresh inspiration for my wedding photography—and a deeper appreciation for the people and moments that make every story worth telling.
