Jorge and Michelle’s story brings together two distinct worlds—she is proudly norteña, and he is a true cancunense. After eight years together, they celebrated their love at Nicoletta Cancún, surrounded by the people who have been part of their journey.

Jorge was one of my first friends in Mexico. We met in Cancún in 2011, and years later, I met Michelle when they became a couple. Photographing their wedding meant much more to me than another day behind the camera—it was the chance to document an important chapter in the lives of two close friends.

The day began with Michelle getting ready at SLS Cancún while Jorge celebrated at home with his family. Their intimate church ceremony was filled with emotion, from Michelle’s entrance in her beautiful veil to the heartfelt words they exchanged. The celebration continued at Nicoletta Cancún, where guests from different countries joined them for a civil ceremony and an unforgettable reception. There were emotional toasts, mariachi, Mexican music, nonstop dancing, and plenty of thoughtful details brought together beautifully by KDA Events.

When my work was done, I put down my camera and joined the celebration. The night ended with tacos, tequila, and one final moment together—the perfect ending to a wedding filled with family, laughter, friendship, and genuine emotion.

From waterfront views to an elegant candlelit celebration, this Nicoletta Cancún wedding was filled with romance.
